Dr. Jamal Alkoteesh

Dr. Jamal Alkoteesh, Chief of Interventional Radiology and Consultant, serves as the Regional Chairman of the Clinical Imaging Department for Tawam and Alain Hospitals, appointed by SEHA. He leads the integration of radiology services in the Eastern region of Abu Dhabi Emirates.
With specialist training in Radiology at the University Hospital of Wales in 1997, Dr. Alkoteesh has worked in prestigious international hospitals, including Prince Philip Hospital in Wales, Cork University Hospital in Ireland, KAMC in Riyadh, and various UAE hospitals.
A fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) since 1999, Dr. Alkoteesh established and managed the Radiology Residency Program at SKMC and Tawam Hospital. He is a DOH Examiner, a member of CIRSE, and holds the European Board in Interventional Radiology (EBIR).
Dr. Alkoteesh specializes in diverse interventional radiology procedures, conducting over 10,000 procedures in the UAE in the last seven years. His expertise spans vascular intervention, hepatobiliary procedures, tumor ablation, and more. He established Abu Dhabi’s first Radiology residency program in 2010, holds an adjunct Associate professor role, and actively contributes to the Arab Health/Total Radiology conference since 2010.
Dr. Alkoteesh currently is the only Full Professor of interventional radiology in the UAE at the first established UAE University and highest-ranking college of medicine in the UAE.

Dr. Bashar Nahab

Bashar Nahab, MD, MS, serves as the Division Chief of Vascular and Interventional Radiology and is a faculty member at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, USA. He also holds the position of Medical Director for Interventional Radiology Services at the University of Cincinnati Health System. Dr. Nahab is board-certified in both Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology.
His medical journey began at Baghdad Medical College/University of Baghdad, after which he moved to Jordan, and graduated from Jordan University of Science and Technology. He later moved to the United States, where he did his training in New York and Detroit, ultimately finishing his specialization in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Harvard Medical School/BIDMC. Additionally, he earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research.
In 2023, Dr. Nahab was recognized as one of the “Best Doctors in America and Top Doctor in Cincinnati.” His clinical interests encompass Interventional Oncology, prostate interventions, and Endocrine Interventional Radiology.”

Dr. Yashwant Patidar

Yashwant Patidar is a Professor Interventional Radiologist at the Institute of liver and Biliary sciences (ILBS), New Delhi, India. He completed his Interventional training in well-known clinical institutes, AIIMS, New Delhi.
Dr. Patidar’s main areas of interest are HPB, Transplant, Portal Hypertension, and oncological interventions. He has more than 15 years of experience ininterventional Radiology. He has participated actively in Indian society of international radiology (ISVIR) at various positions including vice president of the state chapter of ISVIR.
Dr.Patidar is actively involved in vascular and interventional radiology research and he has published more than 100 papers in national and International journals as well as presented his work at national and international radiology meetings. He is a frequently invited speaker and moderator at national and international conferences.
Dr. Patidar is Editorial Board Member of Journal of Clinical Interventional Radiology (JCIR) and serves as scientific reviewer of several medical and interventional radiology journals.
Besides his interest in clinical service and research, he is passionate about resident and fellow teaching. He has recruited and trained several vascular interventional radiology fellows and has won several “excellence in teaching” awards.

Dr. Dennis C. Villaneuva

Dr. Dennis C. Villanueva, M.D., FPCR, FPSVIR, is the Section Head of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City and Global City, Philippines. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Manila Central University and completed his Bachelor’s in Biology at the University of Santo Tomas. Dr. Villanueva is a Fellow of both the Philippine Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology and the Philippine College of Radiology, and he is also a Diplomate of the Philippine Board of Radiology.
With extensive training in various international medical institutions, he has a strong focus on advanced vascular procedures and interventional oncology. As the immediate past president of the Philippine Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, he actively contributes to the field through speaking engagements and professional memberships. Dr. Villanueva has participated in numerous conferences and published works, enhancing the landscape of interventional radiology in the Asia Pacific region.

Dr. Mohammad H. Elhemeily

Dr. Mohammad H. Elhemeily is a Consultant Radiologist, specializing in Interventional Radiology. He earned his MD in Diagnostic Radiology from Ain Shams University, where he now works as a Lecturer and helps manage the Radiology Department. Dr. Elhemeily trained in Paris, focusing on Cardiovascular and Musculoskeletal Interventional Radiology. Over the years, he has worked with top hospitals like the Air Force Specialized Hospital and Katameya Clinic. He is certified by the European Board of Interventional Radiology and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists. Currently, he also works with Philips, providing medical expertise across the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. Dr. Elhemeily has published many academic papers and plays an active role in healthcare management.
