Ahmed Kamel Abdel Aal, MD, PhD is Professor of Radiology and Internal medicine, Chief of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, and Director Interventional radiology ate LBJ Hospital in Houston. Dr. Kamel is American board certified in Radiology. He received fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology as well as Neuroradiology at University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Kamel holds Masters of Science and PhD degrees in Radiology. He was awarded the “Top ten faculty award for excellence in resident education”, the “Certificate of Merit Award” from the Radiological Society of North America, the “Certificate of Merit Award” from the American Roentgen Ray Society, the “Certificate of Outstanding performance in Veterans Affairs Radiology Service” and the “Louisville Slugger Award for best Board reviewer”. His areas of clinical interest are Dialysis interventions, Interventional Oncology, Arterial interventions, Spine interventions and DVT management.

Prof. Mohamad Hamady

Dr. Mohamad Hamady graduated from medical school in 1989. Following 3 years of surgical training, he joined clinical and interventional radiology training at the American University of Beirut. He completed interventional radiology training at the King’s College, London in 2001 and he did 2 years of clinical research in IR at the Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospital, London.
Dr. Hamady joined Imperial College, London in 2003 as Consultant and Senior Lecturer in Vascular Interventional Radiology. He also works as an advisor to the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) on new interventional procedures. He is currently the vice chair of the Scientific Committee of the British Society of Interventional Radiology.
Dr Hamady is the IR representative in the Clinical Innovation Team advising the clinical commissioning groups working for the National Health Service in England and Wales.
His research interests include robotic endovascular intervention and navigation, virtual reality simulation training of endovascular skills, and aortic stent grafting. He just started a research work on improving patient’s safety in IR.
Dr. Hamady has over 125 papers in peer-review journals and 12 book chapters. He has given more than 65 talks and keynote lectures in national and international scientific meetings.
He is currently developing, in collaboration with industry, a new generation of fenestrated/branched stent graft for thoracic-abdominal aneurysms.
Dr. Hamady has done the world-first robotic endovascular aortic repair in 2008 and the world-first robotic fibroid embolization in 2012.

Prof. Salah Qanadli

Dr. Salah D. Qanadli is a board-certified radiologist in practice for over 20 years. He is a Professor of Radiology since 2001. He is currently the Head of the Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Unit of the Department of Radiology at the University Hospital of Lausanne (CH). He is also a Honorary Professor at the University of Kingston London (UK) and a Director of the Quantitative Medical Imaging International Institute.
Prof. Qanadli received his training in cardiovascular imaging and interventional radiology from the University of Paris VI in 1992 (France). He accomplished his PhD at the University of Technology Compiègne (France) in 2001 in Bioengineering and continued his professional career as a Professor at the University of Montreal (Canada) before joining the University of Lausanne.
Prof. Qanadli is a Fellow of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Society of Europe and “Active Member” in more than 10 professional national and international societies including the Swiss Society of Radiology. He is the President of the Swiss Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (since 2013) and the past President of the Union of Swiss Societies of Vascular Medicine.
He received several Awards and Distinctions and he is author of 3 patents and more than 180 peer review scientific publications.
Through his leadership, he gave more than 250 invited lectures. He acts as an expert reviewer for more than 20 prestigious journals. His publications have been cited more than 3590 times in Google Scholar. Hirsch Index: 32, i10 Index: 62, RG: 41, RG Reach: 9961.

Dr. Saher Sabri

Dr. Saher S. Sabri graduated from the University of Jordan Faculty of Medicine in 2000. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Iowa in 2007 and his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology from the University of Virginia in 2008. Dr. Sabri holds the American board of Radiology and Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Vascular and Interventional Radiology and is a board examiner for the American board of Radiology.
Dr. Sabri is an Director, Interventional Radiology, Associate Professor of Radiology at the Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Sabri received several awards including the Dean’s Award for Clinical Excellence and the Charles J. Tegtmeyer Award of Clinical Excellence at the School of Medicine at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Sabri has more than 40 invited lectures, workshops and grand rounds, and has participated in more than 30 multicenter trials. He has authored or coauthored more than 30 peer reviewed articles, 10 book chapters and invited articles, and more than 70 abstracts.

Prof. Hicham Kobeiter

Hicham Kobeiter, have been working as an Interventional Radiologist in University Hospital CHU Henri Mondor Crétei, France for the past 15 years. Since the last 6 years he is the Chief of the Vascular and Oncology Interventional Unit in the Radiology Department.
Dr. Kobeiter’s clinical and research topics are: Aortic and Aneurismal Pathology and Multimodality Image Guided Therapy. He was a dedicated Professor in Hôpital Henri Mondor, Créteil, France in 2007 till 2013. Dr. Kobeiter is also President of the French Society of Cardio-Vascular and Interventional Radiology SFICV.

Dr. Fakhir Elmasri

Dr. Fakhir Elmasri had his training in Surgery followed by Radiology. He received his MD at the University of Khartoum, Sudan- School of Medicine. Dr. Elmasri did his Interventional Radiology fellowship at New York University Medical Center. After completing his training, he joined a private practice in Florida.
Dr. Elmasri joined the teaching staff of the University of Miami hereafter he joined the private practice and founded Lakeland Vascular Institute in Lakeland, Florida in 2008. He put up a group of 8 Endovascular Specialists and Cardiovascular Surgeons on this hospital, practicing the whole spectrum of open and endovascular surgery, thoracic and abdominal endografts, and peripheral interventions. This group showed its practices in a very active limb salvage program in addition to carotid stenting, stroke rescue, venous interventions, IVC filters, and PE/iliocaval thrombectomy. The institution became a centre of excellence for complex IVC filter removal with referrals from all over the State of Florida and from outside the State. It is a part of many national and international multicentre trials and is involved in the training of physicians on new devices.
